Craig Luebben's Self Rescue Clinic
Why do I need to take this class?
Self rescue technique is the most valuable asset you can have as a climber. Whether you are on a long alpine route or just cragging at a local area, knowing how to get yourself and others out of a bad situation is essential for your safety and the safety of the people you climb with.

Do I have enough experience to take the class
Participants in the self rescue class should have an understanding of anchor systems and general belay techniques. No experience with self rescue techniques is necessary.

I have been climbing for a long time and already know some self rescue techniques; will the class be worthwhile for me?
Absolutely, this class is an excellent opportunity to refresh on the things you have already learned and to learn a ton new tricks. Beyond teaching the basic techniques that will save your neck, Craig has a seemingly endless supply of snippets of wisdom that will keep you organized, make you more efficient and eliminate headaches in all aspects of climbing, from big walls to cragging.

When and where is the Self Rescue Class?
The self rescue class will be held from 1pm-4pm at the Piano Boulders Climbing Area. The Piano Boulders will be dedicated to the clinic at this time.

How much does the clinic cost?
The clinic is a screaming deal! You can climb for a half day in the morning, then take the self rescue clinic in the afternoon for only $55! The entry fee includes climbing, the clinic, and entrance into the afterparty (free dinner, beer, slideshow, raffle, etc)That is an $85 value and an opportunity you don't want to pass up. If you don't feel like climbing in the morning, you may also just take the clinic for $40. Day of event registration adds $5 to cost, so register now.
